Tool'n Knife Builds

What does the blackwash look like on that
I haven't tried it yet but 99.9% sure it would remove it. I say that because when I sharpen a blade the etching is gone. What I'm doing is sanding the area to create the pattern. Maybe I'll post a video of doing it when I get back to it.

Round 2, I'll get it figured out yet.

Brownells sells tooling for jeweling or engine turning which ever term you want to use. Many years ago I made something for a fellow shipmate while I was in the Navy and I jeweled it using lapping compound and a wood dowel. Here's a link to Brownells https://www.brownells.com/search/?page=1&search=jeweling

Yes they are sharp.

I'm taking it to the next level. I got a laser here's a leather and black walnut test.

I've been asked many times if I make Damascus knives. I've stayed away from it because Damascus billets are so damn expensive. I recently found a somewhat reasonable source. Here's my first, made of 5160, 15n20 & Ni200 forge welded cut and layered several times to end up with 416 layers. Brass mosaic pins, brass insert & black walnut. I need to sharpen and make a sheath yet. Pictures definitely do this no justice.
