Yeah the had wringing over worrying about my iPhone exploding is a bit much. I like my odds
Thinking about it, I assume the only people using pagers are people who are afraid to use cell phones because they could be located, so AKA bad guys use pagers to go incognito. So when the pagers explode most likely be in the hands of one of the bad guys, rather than random strike. Pretty good plan

Absolutely and imagine how this will disrupt communication going forward. They will be worried about everything. The physiological effects will be as bad as the physical
Then after pagers blow up and rest of the bad guys scared to use, then switch walkie talkies then blow them up. Exactly they will be nervous about smoke singles for years to come. I think most of the reasons the US had such a hard time leaving Afghanistan is because we announced to the world before we pulled out.

There was a huge case the FBI did maybe 10 years ago where they were stealing seed corn tech. Really interesting case, can't remember where I heard the story.
They have also set up "police stations" in the U.S. from which they keep their thumbs on Chinese nationals that moved here and disagree with CCP. It's un-American that we haven't crushed that.

Couple things come to mind - supply chain security management is going to be paramount in the future. Israel just opened up this idea for every terrorist country. Even NAFTA items manufactured in Mexico could start to be suspect.
Second, if a positive comes out of this it’s that more and more companies begin to manufacture critical items in the U.S. This seems like it has been happening more and more. Unfortunately I think the the average American consumer cares more about price than safety and security.
