One of the ponds we dug 30 years ago. It is C shaped.

There is a great trail on the back end of the pond in the last picture. Actually pretty good trails on both ends of the pond.

Just got back from Canada, I had to put down my fishing pole to come back to work .... pretty sweet view you got there! Real question is did you catch anything?

Bur - From the fishing pic I see you're adapting to the rough life already. Must be tough. Probably have to have a couple cold ones to deal with the rapid pace, huh ???

Just got back from Canada, I had to put down my fishing pole to come back to work .... pretty sweet view you got there! Real question is did you catch anything?

We have had for or five meals of fish since May 10. I think I have caught 8 walleyes and have fished seven different lakes.

They are fun to catch! Down around my home I will target carp in the spring, they are everywhere, and easy to catch. I dont keep any, but they are fun!

I had a friend who would grill the smaller carp and put barbecue sauce on them. They came out of a clean river system.

I took the kids fishing last Saturday just from shore. The small crappies were biting like crazy, but it was perfect for the kids. My little Ellie had a blast. She hooked a 10# carp and gave the pole to my buddy cause she was scared and he landed it on that little blue snoopy pole. LMFAO. It was pretty damn funny. Got some great videos for her to watch when she gets older.

I still have corn left in my foodplots, just like most years.

My neighbor planted the outside ring and a back finger.

In past years, I have had Deer bed in the weedy mess from corn planted two springs back and left standing.

There was corn left in the backfield also.
I broadcast beans with a bit of corn in these two strips.

I also spent about four hours on the lake this morning. Retirement ain’t so bad!
