Stand Turned Cold

One of our best stands has turned cold the last few years. Multiple reasons are suspected and I have been thinking about this for several months if not a year or more.

My suggestion would be to get an experienced deer hunter or two to come out and give you advice or else pay an expert like Steve.

I had picked moving a stand to one of two trees. We decided which tree was best.

I am going to finish some blocking of dropped red cedar. Three things to accomplish- keep deer from moving under the stand, reduce movement downwind of the stand, and perhaps close a few other trails.

We both agree that things will never be like they were unless we can get deer numbers back a bit.
