I have been eyeing up Millennium Buck Huts and other soft sided elevated blind options. Can anyone share some experience or thoughts with regard to these? I really cant justify a hardside option as well as i will most likely be placing them myself or with a buddy and they ay be moved in time as the property layout changes.

My biggest issue with soft sided blinds is how many years they last before the material fails. Some get brittle and noisy after the first year. Especially the zippers. It's a nice idea, and if you live nearby and can take the fabric down and store them between seasons, they might be a viable option. I am not, so I've given up on them.
The Buck Huts are very well received. Many people come back and buy more. Yes, you do want to remove the canvass at season’s end… the UV does a number on it. A little preventative maintenance on the tower is needed from time to time. We sell them, use them, and encourage friends to add them. Have not had one person say “I regret buying one….”

These blinds would only get hunted 1-2xs a yr which is big driver for what is of interest. I need to get up above the brush in a few spots.
Not sure that cheap hard side would last much long but i likely could buy 2+ of these for each unelevated on of those. I did ponder bases for the pop-ups i have too. They seem be marginally cheaper.

Crazy small world and love the good people this forum brings together....asking for my place in OH but live outside of Batavia and work in both Cuse and Albany at times. Maybe we can work something out!
