Sneaky Coyote!

My neighbor was about to do chores when he noticed something in his bale of hay. Dam Coyote thought he would get an easy meal of a calf by hiding in a round bale of hay. He got a 22-250 instead from the rancher! Crazy these dam things are down here!

I would wager that it had mange or was sick in some other fashion. Fairly common occurance here with mangey coyotes, in hay stacks, old buildings, barns, silage piles, etc.. They look for anyplace that is slightly warmer.

Pretty smart critters. I used to call fox and coyote more some years back. Always thought they were much more elusive than any other critter.

Might have been sick. I have only seen mange in the winter and late winter the mange can get bad.
