I found my 3rd spike of the season today. I am now the master of all space and time. Life is good!

Also found some other odds and ends. A matched set together (I don't find many of those), and random 5pt, and the match to an antler I found a while back. It's a deer I passed on several times this season. Has more mass than I figured. Heavy.

Nice,I haven't stepped foot in timber as I still have some carrying yesterday. Besides I had to prune 30 fruit trees, mow fire breaks,water 44 trees we moved, and still 5other things I need to get done.

Left for Hays Thursday night, watched wrestling until Saturday afternoon, then to Little River for a Basketball game. Got back in town late last night, then headed to Udall this morning to return a PoleVault pole. Just barely having time to walk a little once every couple of weeks. Should have disced firebrakes today instead of looking for antlers.
The wife said she saw 2 in the yard plots this weekend that still had both sides. 3 of the ones I found today had bright blood on them. Good luck to ya when you do get to go out.

I'm not a big prankster. My kid bought that thing on ebay. Not my cup of tea but he had a 50$ gift card and threw another 50 at it. He says he didn't expect to win it but nobody else bid. I'll admit it is pretty cool. Auction lessons.

He was home that day and asked if I could pose it for a couple pics. Tried 2 spots. Thing must weigh 5 lbs. Feel bad we supported the deer farm industry :( Chris colored it with potassium permanganate and did a nice job.

Still haven't found any sheds. But yesterday evening a buck with both antlers made an appearance. That's a trapped bobcat they're looking at. I guess the deer came to investigate the cat?
It was my first cat. We went down this morning and released it.

Nice buck. We're stilling seeing antlers on heads.

I like the bucket idea. I just throw my coat over them and pin em down with my knee. I've often thought that there might be a better way.
