Ate a bone and it got logged in her intestines. Her normal vet was out of town so had to take to a new place on a Saturday. Not sure if they let her sit till Monday before they tried anything. Think her normal vet would of done anything possible to save her. Pissed.
Man, that's just really bad luck. Do you know what kind of bone she was eating and how could you tell that something was wrong?
We have two golden retrievers that really like chewing on bones, but this makes me rethink that.

It was one of those prepackaged smoked butcher bones. Fairly large pig femur I'm pretty sure. Had no issues in the past. Pretty sure Piper had eaten dang near a truck bed full of deer and elk legs bones to this point.
Could just tell she was struggling to go to the bathroom. Noticed it the day after she ate it an knew something was wrong.

What did the vet do once you brought her in? That seems like something they should see occasionally and be able to treat, but perhaps it was lodged in a bad location and was difficult to remove.
