Really happy with how this stand turned out. Good trees are very hard to come by on this end of the property. Got in an old cedar growing out of the limestone creek side. It should keep good cover year round and I can shoot to all plots but one from it.

Little off topic but just wanted to share. Went through my first ever surgery at 34. Lateral meniscus tear from years ago and removal of a golf ball sized cyst on MCL. Been dreading this but finally bit the bullet. Operation went smooth and should be in the stand by October

Velvet’s off. One of the prospects from summer showed back up. Calling him “Tatonka”. Wish I had history so I could age these deer. The body on this guy don’t lie though, I think he’s plenty mature and he’ll make a great many meals for the family!

I think it'll be a while before those younger ones can whip the old man. His neck looks to be about twice the thickness of theirs.

My lordy. He’d about fit in with a herd of angus.
He’s throwing those youngins around like ragdolls I bet! Looks like he is just getting some reps in. Sparring like he knows he’s in training for the big event. I know there’s a few other bruisers hanging around that may be able to put up a fair fight.
