Thanks man! I hope you've been enjoying the fruits of your labor as well!I’m gonna echo T-Max here, that’s going to be a stud. Hot damn I am excited to follow along! All that habitat work is paying off!

Thanks! This is the field I frost seeded. What you're seeing is just weed growth mixed with switch between the rows. They chopped stalks last fall after harvest so the heavy thatch isn't allowing as much growth, it's there, the camera just doesn't pick it up much. I'm really short on time this summer to do much else and unfortunately approaching a knee surgery thats going to keep me down. I'm rolling the dice and going to see what comes of it by the end of the growing season.View attachment 78795
I have some questions about this picture, is this your switchgrass? It looks like the weeds are controlled in furrow? Trying to grasp what I'm looking at. Your place is looking great already this year, they corn by us hasn't even canopied yet, you guys are much further ahead.
Don’t you dare think that way, you have a good thing going! I saw 2 bucks the entire year last year here.I think I'm just gonna go ahead and sell my bow now, and my stands, and my tractor, and my house. I'm done here![]()
Hahahah! I'm not sure what I'd do with my extra time and money if I wasn't bumbling around in the woods all the time telling my wife I'm making ""habitat improvements"" *insert wife's eye roll*Don’t you dare think that way, you have a good thing going! I saw 2 bucks the entire year last year here.
She’ll get it when you guys start spending time out there, raising your family. Nothing more rewarding than watching them enjoy it!Hahahah! I'm not sure what I'd do with my extra time and money if I wasn't bumbling around in the woods all the time telling my wife I'm making ""habitat improvements"" *insert wife's eye roll*
Whatever you're doing surely seems to be working! Keep on! I can't wait to see the harvest picture (no pressure)
That's exactly right! So same goes for you, focus on what you can control! Unfortunately the whole "Love thy neighbor", thing doesn't exist much these days. People are incredibly selfish. I deal with it in my contracting business, all day everyday. When someone needs something, they bug you until you help them. Then when you try to ask for something in return, they wipe and flush you down the drain!Keep the posts rolling!! Sorry to hear about the neighbors. I have a bit of a similar situation here too, kind of frustrating but I suppose you can only control what's in your court, such is life.
That deer is a beauty, hope he sticks around. It is incredible how fast they grow, about 20 days from first photo until now and he's packed on a ton of growth.
Keep us posted.
