New Truck?

Nice looking truck. Is it black or dark grey?

I’m a weirdo- I want a decent looking truck but I like to blend in a little. No decals or bumper stickers. I ordered this truck without the stupid decals on the bed and I have always pulled and dealership badges or “4x4” as soon as I get it home. No personalized plates. I like the color you got. My current truck is grey. It blends in.

I don’t do much. Ceramic window tint to match the tint of rear windows. I always do Weathertech no-drill mudflaps. On the Fords I trimmed them back to the edge of the contours to make them shorter, if you look at them you’ll see what I mean. Better tires, usually 35’s on the trucks I buy, no wider than the fender wells. Fold up bed cover. Been buying hard ones last couple.

On that truck maybe a 2” lift of some kind? They look really nice just a little taller and you could go a little taller with tires. I have never done that and I’ve never run anything but stock rims.

I went crazy with this truck and got protective film on the front where I tend to get rock chips. It’s self healing if you get rock dings and i really like it. Ceramic coat. Kinda different, you never wax it, it’s nice but you kinda have to dry it if you wash it. My ‘21 still looks very new knock on wood.

Falken are the best tires I've ever owned, you give up a little lifespan, but they grip the road and dirt really well

Yep, they are great tires, other than I wished they lasted a little longer.

Huh. Didn't know Ram went away from the hemi. Never really considered them but I've driven a handful and they are the nicest riding 1/2 ton for sure.
They brought them back in 2026

I was getting 60,000 out of them easy on an f-250 diesel. Rotated every oil change, at the time I was driving all over the country for my kids sports.

I have the BF Goodrich K03’s that come stock on the Raptors with 66k on them. They started getting loud awhile ago. I really need to buy tires this fall yet and will probably go with the AT3’s.

Which Cooper you run? Is there only one AT3?

Before you go with bigger tires, load the truck up some. When its loaded down, have smeone turn the wheels left and right. Look at clearance while your turning. Thats the most common tire rub issue.

Forgot the exact model, but I have some firestone AT tires that came with my used 2019 ram. 55k miles on them so far. They are close to being replaced. I dont go too thin. But, by other folks standards, they're probably a 75k mile tire. Besides geetting a deer on havested fields, my only challenge is snow. They're great there too. I think they destination model lines.

If I were to buy a truck, I'd go for a tacoma. Although, I try to buy US cars. Probably buy another truck in 5 years if possible. NEw one close to retirement, or a decent towing SUV. Enclosed trailer, small camper, of 21ft boat.

It was this one- BUT I wan them on my F-250’s so they had to have higher load rating so I bet there is a better match for a half ton truck.

We on tires? I just got a set of Firestone Destination XT’s on my 2500. 5th set maybe? Across multiple vehicles. Good tires for me.

I’ve got the new whip pretty much ready to roll now. Enough that the wife has nicknamed it the money pit.
Nice seat covers/nerf bars/mud flaps/brush guard/bug shield/cap/real tires. Kind of went with the black out look.
Good friends of ours run a body shop and they were great getting it all together.

I had a bunch of bags in the back, hooked the trailer up to it, loaded the four wheeler and it squatted like my dog taking a piss.
Sooo…replaced the back coils with heavy duty coils problem solved. Stiffened it up perfectly and raised the back 3”. Tundras don’t have leaf springs.

Got to say I really like driving it, very roomy and quick response with the twin turbo, gas mileage is maybe 19? It has a 32.2 gallon tank on it so that is not fun filling up $, think it’s got close to 800 miles on it now.

I put beefy 35” RT’s on it, shouldn’t have to worry about getting stuck.

I know a guy that had a 2025 tundra and it was in shop like 8 times this year traded it last week for a dodge

That’s perfect. That truck will do everything!

i have a 2022 with 100k on it and love it, i had 4 of the previous generation and this generation is light years ahead of the last

You made me laugh, well done.

Looks great!

other than the brush guard, I just don't like them

I totally get that!

I’ve hit two deer in the last year, there is almost not a day that goes by in the fall where I don’t have to slow down to avoid deer crossing the road especially the last few weeks. With the days getting shorter my drive to and from work is almost an obstacle course!

I'm on my second silver F-150. the most generic truck in America. But it does what I want it to, and it's not a weiner measuring contest like some guys do with their trucks.

I have the big eco boost and the next one I get will be a boring 5.0 V8. We just replaced an eco boost in one of our transits and it was over $20K. that's not necessary.
