Does the coyote call scare them or do they just think your movement is a coyote?

Deer don’t run from my coyote calling at night. They stand and watch it for sure, but never run.

This is where the regional differences occur.

They scatter every time when I light off the call. I usually place it about 80 yards from my blind and then I'll carry it back still making yote sounds for a while before shutting it off.

Cool trick. I have some video of coyotes chasing a deer one time on my place. But normally they just stay right where they are.

When I start to see more coyotes on camera at my place, the deer sightings definitely go down. It seems the deer try to avoid them around here.

That’s how turkeys are here. I was getting almost no turkey pics. I put a hurting on the coyotes and now I get pics of 20-30 turkey at a time.

It's crazy because it's the exact opposite over here. Coyotes have been everywhere the past two weeks and so have the turkeys. Deer have been scarce.
