What decision was wrong ? O’Connell won five games in a row with back ups. Best receiver in league is hurt, Cousins hurt, Akers hurt, Evans hurt … best LB hurt ?

Let me edit…Actually not completely accurate. I saw the survey . It’s about 50/50 . However, when you say move the gun season to late November the numbers are against yes!
Here is the 2018 survey … would be nice to see a simple yes or no! A 2023 survey would be nice to see .View attachment 59844
Glad to see all the counties I own property in are on the come up.Just came across the boone and crockett 10 year trend layer on OnX. Paints a picture of how Northern MN has been trending compared to elsewhere.

Iffn any of you hosers thinks you can glean something from my waypoints, just know I haven't killed a deer in MN for over a decade.
It is hard to make any generalizations about Minnesota hunters with the very diverse habitat and traditions in the state. Add the line between rifle and shotgun zones as another variable.Huh. surprise surprise, the deer slayers in my area (east central) were against late nov season 70% to 17%... Gotta give our area manager some credit, DNR has 157 down as one of the highest population density areas in the state yet its still in a Hunters Choice designation (1 deer either sex only) because people will shoot the piss out of anything they are allowed to. Was a 2 deer limit last year (1 either sex, one bonus doe available) and thus far my eyes and cameras tell me one year of bonus doe tags balanced the sex ratios nicely. Survey results show that the landowners are generally happy with the deer population and even open to a little higher pop. The regs match the survey, match the data, and generally match what I see with my eyes and ears talking to others.
Won't that simply shift more pressure south? The season should be closed up there until the deer population recovers !
I suppose it will ? The other option is to vastly restrict buck tags, and no doe tags ? Shooting the few deer that are still alive is not a good solution, would you agree ?Won't that simply shift more pressure south?

The herd in northern MN seems to be exactly what the MNDNR wants, no? Aren't they more interested in elk and moose up there than whitetails? It’s a mess!
Is there tribal hunting rights that extend outside of the new expanded res boundary? The DNR where I'm at in central Minnesota seems to be only concerned about the tribes and letting them take everything they want. Natives have ridiculous privileges that are not helping the overall picture at all. Is there anything done properly in Minnesota anymore that even makes sense? Nothing I can think of. SHIT SHOW
Honestly don't know where they do their hunting but I have heard that they can take 1 deer per day all year long. Thank God they're too lazy to take full advantage. Mille Lacs Lake is the dead sea now thanks to the netting for decades now. They net most of the fish taken and do the majority before the fish can spawn and reproduce naturally and then the DNR restocks the Walleye every year with our tax dollars. After taking more tonnage than they should every year the average fisherman buying a license can keep 1 fish as long as it's withing the slot limits. Some years it's just a catch and release which kills the fish over half the time anyway. Governor Walz gave the tribe something like 61,000 more acres just a couple of years ago in his infinite wisdom. Minnesota will be the next California if Walz gets his way.Is there tribal hunting rights that extend outside of the new expanded res boundary?

It's a national movement. All the right people are in place now to transfer as much land as possible back to the bands. I don't have a dog in the fight either way. I would never stake my fate on the good will of a crooked government agency or tribal council. Frankly, if I were them, I'd fight dirty until I got every acre back too.Governor Walz has a Native American staff member chirping in his ear at all times. The Democrats want to give them more land throughout Minnesota. Granite Falls State Park for example. I think it’s already a done deal ? 2 square miles…
I'm just going by what my friends that own resorts and try to take people out fishing(guide service) have stated as what they see and hear and I've been living in the thick of it for my entire life. Watched it all from the very beginning to where it's at now. City slickers are pretty much ignorant to any actual facts about the tribe we have here. Just my opinion from where I'm sitting. Like I said, I'M NOT A FANI'm pretty familiar with the mille lacs issues, family members owned/operated a resort on the lake for many years. My aunt was the exec director for the board of tourism for something like a decade recently. I grew up spending my summers on the lake. The stress of the constant fight resulted in my aunt and uncle selling the resort and moving to the keys. That said, I'm not aware of any walleye stocking efforts in the big pond or significant (reported) tribal walleye take over the allotted quota. Reported take was under quota this year if I recall correctly.
