Low height screening

House / driveway is 50 yardsfrom the foodplot. Back corner button up on my double row of apple trees. Don't want to put another spruce or two that close to trees.

Aborvitae isn't doing too hot. Gets wet a few days in thr spring. Whatever I do, I will hill up a foot or two.

Was thinking red dogwood, but planted them up front this year instead.

Any suggestions? Zone 5 clay doil.

Looking to not shade the apple trees. Something 12-15ft. Shrub might be better answer.

Maybe I should of planted the red dogwood over there.

When do you want the screen most effective? If you want to go with shrubs try Ninebarks.
