Been tossing a wrench in this machine since 2018 or so. More years than not, used pelletized lime with a decent amount of magnesium.
Kind of at a standstill right now. For some reason the wheat did very well with a bit of rye in it. Local farmer produces alot of wheat and I bought a few bags. Kind of feel like letting it go and see what happens. PRetty thick stand of wheat in both the 2024 food plot extension and 1/2 of the exisiting plot. There is a few red aramath pants in the middle section. I left that spot alone, which was plantain and clovers. I did no till rye with some wheat, but there is some rye in it with a few weeds.
Also, I am behind on house maintenance. This plot is 50 yards away from the house. Thinking of not focusing on hunting at home, but still put a food plot in. But, would be nice for a december draw. Got alot of painting and garage work to do. Redoing the pool area this spring and might work on prepping for it. Focused on food plots, apples trees, and not spooking deer for too many years at home. I literally have thousands of acres I can hunt elsewhere.
