Lifetime 22LR for a youngster

The Bergara has an adjustable trigger. I'm 99% sure that you can swap in any Remington 700 compatible trigger too.
Yes, some work better than others but this is true.

Marlin papoose!

Oops I misread you want a bolt action.

I would make sure when the safety’s on. The bolt locks. So a three way ( like Winchester or Ruger) or tang safety that locks bolt but also allows unloading with trigger nullified.

they still make the 77/22. Does the kid need a youth stock, or is big enough to handle a full sized stock ok.

I think one of the best guns you should own is one you use the most. Hard to beat a 22lr for rounds down range.

Still a good number of 22's with iron sights if you want them. I am down to 2 guns with peep sights. A lyman great plains flintlock in 54 and a marlin 917T with a lyman 90 peep on it. Was a sad day I coverted my marlin 336 from peep to scope.

Look closer. The 77/22 only comes in .22 Hornet now.

get him anything yet? I got marlin bolt guns I paid $250 with burris scope, they shoot great and last a lifetime.

Any kind of trigger he likes? Stiffer, real soft? Any kind of hunting with a 22 he's into?
