Just scored on persimmon trees

I have been watching chestnut hill persimmon trees at my local rural king all summer. Funny how some people think because the leaves are gone the trees must be dead. Did a little nick on them and all is green. Talked to manager and I got 8 trees for 5.00 each. They started out at 35.00 each several months ago. I ended up with 3 yates, 3 prok and 2 morris burton. All grafted females.

I do this as well. Wait for them to go on sale and then try to jump on them if I can. Good for you. Do you have any males in your area???

I have a 15 ft male that I planted from seed 8 yrs ago. Loaded with blooms last couple yrs. And 2 more around the 10 ft range also from seed the sex is undetermined. Thought about grafting the 2 but now I am going to hold off.
