J-birds place

I appreciate all the well wishes..... She is doing really well and we have our last 5 radiation treatments this week. Then, if all goes well......we wait. Hopefully we wait for a long time, but it's anybody's guess. The type of cancer she has, there is no such thig as "full remission".

As for the grandchild......he is gonna be spoiled rotten! My kids ask "where did this person come from" when I have him....because it is VERY different being a papaw....vs being a dad.

Sending well wishes to you and your family. Congrats on the kids getting through college & on the grandkid. Enjoy!

I went down the rabbit hole reading back through your posts, it is an amazing land tour, a real trove of information and a pleasure to read. I actually went all the way back to 2016 and started reading from the beginning. Great stuff. Unfortunately some of the earlier photos are no longer available but there's a wealth of knowledge here. Thanks for sharing J-Bird
Thank you! Having a land tour type of post is wonderful to not only share your own struggles and success, but even to simply document things. I never remember what species of apple I planted or what year it was planted or the like..... As I get older it all just runs together. Sometimes its also good to look back and to see how far we have come.....either with our habitat work, our hunting or even in my case, sharing it all with my kids. The late 90's at times seem not that long ago, yet sometimes they feel like a lifetime away.

I do some of the same thing J-bird. I sometimes just want to remember what I planted or how I accomplished something so that I can remember back in the time to come.....or have a list of tasks that can be seen by my family at some point in time. Cataloging your accomplishments is fun to look back on.
