Imox residual

What rate and how did it fo on the smartweed? I've got a few perennial clovers patches that the smartweed is starting to creep into maybe ~25% of the plot and was looking for a solution. I have some imox left yet, but didn't know if it would be better to apply before the smartweed comes on and use the residual or try to spray the smartweed when growing (understanding its hard to kill).
I'm the wrong guy to ask about rates. I read the label. Study the conditions. Decide what risk I'm willing to take and what level of disbelief and shame I want to endure, LOL!? I have unwantedly killed many clover plants and have saved countless others! My Imox war story is from several years ago. Old clover about to be overrun with grass and weeds. It was late July. I wanted good clover for fall archery. Imox was new to me. It took a while to figure it out. It's got an "industrial" use label. If my memory is correct I used the equivalent of 10-12 oz per acre mixed with crop oil at an order of magnitude greater than recommended. I wasn't afraid to lose the clover 'cause it was about to be over run anyhow. I don't recommend that in normal situations. Established clover with deep roots can stand a lot of abuse. You just need to decide how much you want to dish out.

So, listen to the fellows about about rates and application timing.

That's why I was clear who my source was and I was careful to add my disclaimer.

However I have sprayed with positive results based on this information provided by Keystone and BASF.

This is what 20oz of ly and 24oz/acre of basagran looks like to sedge. All my foodplots are bright brown in google maps for the next year or so..

Doubt I had residual issues. Had rain issues Im pretty sure. Dry late summer. rye oats clovers and a bit of brassica mix. broadcast and trie dragged in a day later.

Imox works pretty good on sedge at that low 4oz rate? Little hesitant on the basagran again. I bought it used on ebay for $75 shipped a gallon, put it on a bit heavy. Think desired is 16 or 20 oz / acre. Could be messing up wth acre vs the just the 15 gallon tank I use.

I did 2 pints per acre with Basagran with 26oz of crop oil. I hit it again about 10 days later with the same mix. I had great results.

I have had no luck at all with imox and sedge. The basagran took care of it this year and hopefully next as well. We will see this spring.

Now that I think of it more, its probably better to have your plots brown on google maps than bright green. Here the other 2. Now that I think of it more, it was 24oz per tank. I considered the 15 gallon tank goof for .5 acres. 48 basagran and 40 gly. Only 1 application . Weekends wee rainy this summer, until I planted. Thats when the well in sky ran out......

Debating spraying this late spring. Probably do buckwheat in the 1st pic foodplot. The 2nd one I might finish off my bag of crimson clover. I am close to the road, so maybe not having a definitive Red flag up might be a better idea.
