I saw that article on the ASIAN LONGHORNED TICK too. One more P.O.S. vermin from Eastern Asia - joining the Spotted Lantern fly as of the last 3 or 4 years.

Why ...………… WHY do we not have agencies that fumigate incoming freight / articles / plants from other countries ????? Are we REALLY the smartest animals on the planet ???

I read about how effective opossum are at tick patrol. There were researchers whose job was to examine opossum crap and look for tick contents...(glamorous job, huh?) I guess most every 'possum deuce had ticks in it. I used to never think too much one way or the other about 'possum, but my brother hated them and shot them on sight. He complained about them getting into turkey nests, while at the same complaining about ticks.
I've come to like the ugly things. Better to have 'possum than ticks.
