Anybody Let a rootstock grow to maturity?

bigboreblr

5 year old buck +
got 4 or 5 antonovka from Saint lawrence growing at camp. Also got 2 or dolgo from willis orchards. Right now I got a 4ft tall M111 whip. I may let her grow, but I know its gonna get CAR. I have a few B118 from emhrabyan and siberian crab from SLN coming. Whatever siberians do not take I will let live. ONly got (3) B118's. I may let one go, not sure.

Anybody have experience or pictures of rootstock or common seedlings going to maturity?

Thinking the dolgo and antonovka could be my earlier season trees at camp. Siberian might be the same too.

I bought some Dolgo seedlings back in the day and let them grow out. All ended up being small bird crabs so I’ve top grafted them to other varieties and they’re growing great.

Pictures are in the timeline thread and I know you have viewed them. Big Dog and Courthouse Crab are rootstocks, nothing definite on what kind.

I have a few mature dolgo seedlings.Buckman Crab, another called Red Dog, and also Clowns Nose. And a handful of bird crab dolgo seedlings. I got the feeling there are some mixed genetics in these.

Some of Morse’s bunches seedlings are mature. I am not impressed.

Somehow I missed this thread, but it was opening of fishing season!

Anty rootstocks from Charlie Morse have been a disappointment as well. They just struggled to survive. All of these were from the days when Charlie ran the nursery.
