Health issues

I had my 3 month follow up after having my prostate removed. I'm feeling great but my PSA test had a higher reading than what was expected. So in another 3 months I have to go back and get tested again. If the reading haven't gone up Doc says it a good sign, if it goes up and depending how much it will tell the story. Long story short I still have some cancer in me but how much is yet to be determined. Doc says at this time it's not something to worry to much about.

Cancer is like whack-a-mole. It pops up, you knock that one down, and it pops up somewhere else. Keep working the treatment and stay positive!

Doc sounds positive. Hopefully he knows his stuff.

I'm guessing someone here is diabetic besides me. So who here diabetic neuropathy? If so have you had any treatment for it? Did it work? I've done a far amount of online searching but would like to talk to someone who's has first hand experience.

My daughter has a bad case of diabetic neuropathy, from years of neglect with her diabetes. I don’t really have first hand info, but second hand.

I have allot of neuropathy in my feet.....but (thankfully) I am not diabetic. I have not had 100% feeling in my feet for a few years now.....affects my balance especially when playing golf.

My PSA test kept going up. Had a PET scan done and cancer is on a lymph node. Doc wanted to take care of it because being on a lymph node it can spread to the bone in other parts of the body pretty fast. I have 2.5 weeks left of a 8-week radiation treatment which are 5 days a week. The radiation treatments are knocking the crap out of me literally. After treatments I am extremely tired and usually the next morning get diarrhea. So working on the prize knives has been slow to say the least I can be out in the shop working and all of a sudden have to run to the can, get back out in the shop 5 minutes later back to the can. Gladly it's not everyday like this but most of them.

You gotta know that I admire your many talents and abilities.....and your values and life. Mike....you are the salt of this earth. You can and will get past this....same as many of us have gotten along with some of these events.....Or, you won't. (I think you will) That damn clock keeps ticking on every one of our lives....and sooner or later the string runs out for each of us. My time get's shorter with every breath....as it does for all of us here.

All I can say.....is to fully enjoy each day you get....and celebrate the life you have. My best thoughts and prayers are extended Mike. You can do this, my friend!

Sad times here......my wife passed away last night about 7 PM. We went to a small gathering at a freinds house.....and we were celebrating her 76th birthday.....which was Friday. We stayed an hour and a half. Walking out to our car (parked in the driveway) my wife started to collapse. I held her up but she wanted to lean against the hood of our car for a bit to prevent fainting. That didn't last long and we crumpled to the ground with me preventing her from hitting her head. She didn't last long....and died right there in my arms. A friend was helping us to the car....and called 911. Despite any efforts by emt's...she had already passed prior to them getting there. A trip to the ER was to no avail. She did pass peacefully, and I am grateful for that. We both knew this day was coming for a long time....still you are just never fully prepared when it comes. She is in a better place today....of that I am certain.

Her heart health issues started during covid (with covid having no effect on her heart issues). She has endured numerous open heart surgeries and procedures over that time I have shared some with you during those years. Her heart failure finally prevailed.

Thanks for lending an ear, and for all the thoughts and prayers extended us over these years.

How sad. How great you could be there for her in her final moments. Prayers to you and your family.
