Has anyone planted anything yet?

I feel like the southern guys are holding back on plot work pics. I even did some planting last weekend, and I still had snow. I'm fairly certain there's only one other guy closer to the center pole than me.

I don't know if I"m doing this right, but I just put down some winter rye in a new micro plot just for turkey season, on ground I just opened up. Then this fall I plan to kill it and other plots and combine wr and clover for the fall. but other than that, I won't plant this spring/summer.

I just planted 20 more sawtooth oaks and killed about 20,000 more sweet gums. Life is good.

Sawtooths? How dare you plant a non-native species! Haven’t you heard it’s on the list of “Most Over Rated Trees for Deer”....ha ha. I think I’ve got at least 300 or so planted....and if you run out of sweet gums to kill I’ve got plenty you can practice on!

Hi there.

Other than frost seeding, we are at least a month away from planting here in 7A depending on crop selection. I probably won't plant until Mid-May thru early June.

I just called the Vermillion Elevator to reserve my buckwheat for May.

I will be planting grass seed in my yard this weekend.

I'm planting everything this weekend. It's all cool season, but it's going whether it's snow covered or not.

Got half of my crp drilled before rains came Saturday.

No summer crops in N. MO until after 4/15. If you plant before then it will snow.

Planted 18 Chinese chestnut and dunstan before winter and 4 southern crabs this week.

My WR & Red Clover I broadcasted last fall are starting to green up and deer are munching on it.

Will be putting in 80 apple trees in April.

Target planting beans, & other 1st week of May.

Frost seeding some clover, chicory in a small field corner this weekend. Hopefully a second food plot if I have time..

I am southern, but You would have to plant from a boat here

I frost seeded 3 plots last evening with some different clover and some of Grandpa Ray's mixes. Hoping the rain won't wash too much of it away as one of the plots is pretty steep and rocky.

Were there any cereals in it? I'm beginning to think, other than the one dude that spring planted some rye, nobody in the lower 48 has planted a cereal grain yet this spring.

there was some triticale (grain, not grass) in the one mix (GRO inner sanctum)..not real hopeful about much of it coming up as we have a bunch of turkeys around that love to eat the seeds and I didn't cultipack or anything due to just frost seeding...i plan to plant a mix of BW/oats late in the spring in my home plot and to use oats as a nurse crop for a new clover field here in the coming weeks....also one of the plots i frost seeded into yesterday was planted in winter wheat last fall but I think the deer munched it before it could get well established...im still learning about grains and would love to have more of them
