Got frost ??

NorthPotter

5 year old buck +
Here in the ice box of Potter County PA we dropped to 32.0 about 4:50am and then 31 through 6:40am with a thorough frost. This is at 1650' elevation and I suspect my meadows at 1900' were colder.
I almost started planting out my Chestnuts and Chinkapins yesterday,.. but I knew better.

This is why many things don't make it here and sometimes I wonder why I even try. I take a risk when I start sorghum/beans or plant out seedlings in late May. Guess it could be worse,...I have seen 28 on June 8th.:emoji_laughing:

Anyone else have a frost this morning? Anyone else ever have frosts in June?

Not surprised given your location. My camp is about 50 minutes south ( by backroads ) of your area, and we're on a ridge top, so I expect we got frost there too.

There are no frosty spots in Alabama right now...

After a month or so of brutal temps in the upper 90s with absolutely no rain, feels kind of frosty right now in North Florida even though noontime temp is 79.

Look to have about a 10 day break or so with decent amount of rain before we turn back into Hades again.

Ya I think it was Monday or Tuesday morning it got down to 28 at my place up north.

Yep, will dip into the lower 80's here for a low giving us a break from upper 90's. frost unlikely

........and in ~ 3 weeks the ol rain switch will turn "off" til october
