Cuddelink general Q&A recommendations

all have been updated to 3.2.0, 9.2.0.
the cell reception on the cell home detail shows 243 connections, 99% cell reception
used a g series home unit for years, with verizon cell service, no issues quite like this. Bought the new L series home unit this summer, and went with verizon hookup since it seemed good enough with the original unit. how can I tell which carrier has better reception, if reception is an issue?
you an switch back and forth from Verizon to ATT in device details , edit and then you will see the box to mark for attt or Verizon, it sounds like its something else in this instance though, if you are 99%

thanks, I'll update if I pinpoint something

Good morning, all. I have been running the solar panels on all my cameras for over a year now with no issues. I have the panels that do not need direct sunlight. They have performed flawlessly until a critter decided to chew one of the cords into. I didn't notice on the report that the camera had switched to battery power until the batteries were dead and camera fell off the list. It took me a few days to get new metal covered cords ordered and hooked up. After switching out all cords, I have one that continues to switch back and forth from batteries to ext power. For example, one day the report will show ext power ok and the next it will be showing batteries ok. Any suggestions, or may it just be taking a while to get that solar panel back fully charged? Thanks.

it could be drawing down each night but then charging back up , its working how its suppose to as once it charges up it should switch back to the Solar as main source.

Thanks as always John.

I have one that works perfect in the summer but draws down each night when the sun changes aspect in the fall/winter as John says.

I've been running an LL-2A on a 4-camera network for a couple years. Went out last weekend, turned it off, moved it, turned it on, did Link Level test, and called it good. Also took it off solar, cuz I need the panel elsewhere. Then I went in the app to force a picture to confirm aiming. Never got a pic. I did force picture several times that day, without results. When I got home I used CAMP to re-name the camera location and revise the pic delay. And tried force picture again. It took several days for the new name to show up. No pictures. When I select Force Manual Photo, it says Pending for awhile, then goes back to normal. On the App, Reports shows the new name, same camera #4 (didn't change this), Level 72, 6 images in queue, 1 link, Battery OK. (it would be linking directly to Home 150 yards away). So, it's responding to inputs to change the name, it's sending Reports and showing settings, but not sending pics. Any suggestions what to try? This set is 2-1/2 hrs from home, so hoping to fix it remotely.

nothing you can do differently remotely other than try turning time lapse on 24 hrs - cudde just released a new update that you can do manually or they will push it out after outing season but its likely you may need to do remotes manually at least once more - the latest update fixed some bugs that appeared in Gen 3 that weren't found in initial testing.

GEN 3 , 3.3 is available
What this firmware does

CuddeLink GEN 3 version 3.20 had a bug that affects a small portion of users. This bug prevents photos from being sent and over the air updates from working properly. GEN 3 firmware 3.30 fixes these issues.

How to get this firmware now
We do not want to disrupt users’ cameras during the peak of hunting season, so this firmware update must be done manually. Click the green link below to download the file to an SD card. See the instructions below on how to load the firmware onto your cameras. You will need to update all your CuddeLink cameras and CuddeLink Cell Home.

How to get this firmware update automatically
If you do not want to perform a manual firmware update you do not have to at this time. In early 2026 this firmware will be pushed to your cameras via the LTE connection. Keep in mind that this update may still fail for some cameras on some networks. If this happens, you will need to manually update the affected cameras. After this, you will never have to update the firmware again.

Check delay settings and see if says Disabled. I have had 2 say Disabled after doing what you have done.
