Cuddeback's Cuddelink

Foggy, this happened to me twice. Both times it cost me. It’s a glitch that needs to be fixed. I have my emails with Cuddeback if you need them to support this is legitimate issue.
This happened to both a J camera and a new L camera. When changing batteries or turning the camera off, then back on, the settings are all still correct, so you scroll through the menu and activate the camera. A day later, you find that you have a thousand pictures as the camera is taking one every minute. Once I know the camera is doing this I can turn it off via the app. I would like to think Cuddeback would look into this phenomenon and find a fix, as it burns through data plans and is not a user error.

Put new batteries in three of my cameras on Saturday. One of those three has been snapping pictures almost non-stop since then. Like every minute or so. I bet I have over 2000 pics of the same thing. Tried to call Cudde this morning.....but after an hour's wait I gave up. Did some re-setting during the day today to shut it down......but so far have been unsuccessful. Grrrrr. I suppose this will cost me an extra $20 bucks or so. I guess I will drive up in the morning and take the batteries out.....or some such thing. I don't understand how I cannot shut this dude down?
If it’s a G and has an external supply, disconnect it and see if it stops. If it does it needs to be returned for a capacitor addition.

It's sitting on my desk right now. Just got back from Deertopia. It's a G model and I do not have an external battery or solar. Just four D cell Ray O Vacs. I have not even yet looked to see what I got for pics this morning......but this camera was taking constant pictures for two days. It did stop at night.......and it did get a coyote pic too. Very annoying. I may have a few thousand pics over two days.

Has any one had any issues with cameras randomly disconnecting from the network and then refusing to pick up the signal?

I have two different J's that this has happened to in the last 2 months on two different networks. So far I have tried to reinstall the firmware and reset the internal and external power sources without any improvement.

I have a camera drop off for various reasons from time to time. I recently had one go down and when I went to it the screen said SD full. I shut it down and restarted it and the SD was actually less than 1% full. Luckily for me I live on the property so the fix is easy. Another time the cell home unit fell off with no code or anything. A quick reset brought it back. It seems each time is a different reason. Its not constant, but there seems to be no consistency with WHY they are falling off.

There is definitely something peculiar happening with the SD full error. I was having lots of problems with this two or three years ago. Since then, it has probably only happened on two or three cameras.

My issue is that the cameras themselves cannot detect the network and they just randomly fall off after working properly. I'm hoping I just have to replace the antenna.

My home unit is a G camera on the 3600 solar panel. Thanks for the heads up.

Glad your back John. Been hoping to hear from you. You described my situation. Do I call them first or just send it with a note?

you would want to call CS and get an rma , explain the issue and they should take it from there , let them know you were told it needs to go in for the issue.
