Couple cuttings thoughts

For screening maybe laying long cuttings horizontal on the ground would give multiple shoot? I have seen this for stream bank stabilization while researching cuttings.

Also a lot of stuff says don't put cuttings in upside down, but the willow structures seem to do ok when you stick both ends in the ground. I'm sure its not for all species but sideways and upside down can work sometimes.

That pics is pretty neat, I bet it would work if you could keep them watered.
