yeah the Governor did an about face pretty quickly. I just wonder if there’s any doctors out there there are not aware yet. I asked my doctor 4 weeks ago about this and he had no idea. I’m going to check back and make sure he’s on board. I know it’s not a cure but an antiviral that seems to be working in some . As I’ve said before even if it helps in 10-20% that sure takes pressure of the health system. As the President said , if you’re going downhill and there’s nothing they can do for you. What do you have to lose. Hopefully you never have to worry about it but I think it’s a good idea to talk with your doctor before hand So you know if they’re on board or not.

My wife has been working at home because of this.
She works in HR and is normally in a room full of hens clucking all day long about nothing. She does not have her usually female support group that likes to talk about inane stuff so she has constantly been yammering at me every chance she gets if I'm home. Doesn't matter if I am watching TV or in the garage or yard...I even try and throw out curve ball topics like porn or hunting or fishing...I even pretend to be sleeping, she just deflects and drones on about another topic I have zero interest in. WTF?!!!!
Thirty two years with her and I love her to death.... but seriously......I can't wait for turkey season to start!

(WIVB) – A Western New York woman just celebrated her 108th birthday with her family while social distancing.

Sally Szemenciak, a resident of Beechwood Homes, had her milestone birthday on Sunday.


Her family followed the new visitor restrictions due to COVID-19 by wishing her happy birthday through the doors. Her daughter sent over cupcakes and balloons.

Szemenciak’s advice is “Never think you are too old! Have a highball cocktail every night for a long life!”
 
Anyone else been hearing about the bear bile for treatment. Heard some guys talking at ace yesterday and Google confirmed it was some remedy released by China. Now I wonder what the bear tag wait could become if this becomes a thing.

Bears in tiny cages with permanent tubes coming out of them. That is where it comes from.

The if this gets out the panda will be extinct by the end of the month. It wont be from harvesting them for bile. The stupid Chicoms will be eating them thinking it will give them some magical force field from germs.

Semi-joking aside, my FAR better half's a dermatologist and ivermectin is more widely prescribed to humans than some might imagine -- given regularly to humans for both lice and scabies. Granted tests are in vitro (petri dish) vs in vivo (testing effect on coronavirus in humans) but much like hydroxycholorquine at the proper dosing it's a pretty darn safe thing to try if you get the disease and have comorbidities that put you at greater risk of severe respiratory complications.

Haven't been online too much lately trying to keep our business (I manage the wife's practice) afloat, but I'm increasingly (albeit guardedly) optimistic we'll have a number of drug therapies making a bit of difference in the weeks / months ahead. Marry any drug treatments with an antibody test that can show when folks have cleared and have some level of immunity, and maybe we can start turning things around.

Two weeks ago I went to the grocery store and probably made funny faces at the people wearing masks. Went today and I was getting funny looks for not wearing one. I really got a chuckle when I drove passed a couple riding bikes along the side of the road alone, in masks. We’ve eclipsed Stupid..
 
Somebody PLEASE take out the trash. This bastard is a worthless piece of shit. The World Health Organization completely shattered any credibility that they ever had. How many of our citizens died or will die because they ran cover for China? STOP ALL THE FUNDING IMMEDIATELY! They are about as useful as the Human Fund created by George Costanza.

WHO has lost all credibility no doubt. Is it money? probably Could it be China has enormous pressure on some of these people physically. Probably. The best case scenario is the WHO knows these things start in China and they want to keep a toe in the water there even if they know you can’t trust them Or their data. Either way putting the Chinese in front of the rest of the World has ruined them and they know it. So they are taking sides with whom they think will be able to keep them going. Remember a lot of this World has a detest for America. They’ve not chose wisely and will pay for this in the end. Stop the funding
 
During a global pandemic sounds like an excellent time to cut funding to the WHO. That'll teach them. No way that could backfire on us or make things worse.

I would guess this was intended to just be some tough talk, someone new to blame for a news cycle or two. But now that the head of the WHO has publicly challenged our manhood...
