its funny, the WHO says its very important to differentiate whats happening because of the astrozenica and whats happening in spite of it. To bad this same crooked organization couldnt use that same logic and differentiate covid from literally every other ailment known to man.

Knehrke,

Would you happen to know why the great Dr. Fauci flopped so hard on the two mask are better than one??? If we are supposed to follow the science, and Dr. Fauci finally figured out after a year that two mask are better than one why cant he convince Xiden and the rest of high command to wear two mask all the time?? And why did it take him a whole year to figure out that two are better than one?? Some people people inside the Reich cant even figure out how to properly wear one.

It's a bit of common sense, I suspect - respirators would be better than masks, but good luck getting folks to wear them. So far as I know, two masks are better than one. And done. Make up your own mind on what you want to do to protect yourself or others.

And the guy is a public health advocate. Give him a break. It's like asking the NRA to come down on the side of gun legislation. Not going to happen. Of course he has a vested interest. It's his job to promote public health. It's really up to the other parties with vested interest to take the information that he provides, to weigh it against other concerns, and to prioritize outcomes.

And to take offense at front line health care workers being called "heros"? Really, Bill? How does that diminish you in any form? Are you so angry that you're willing to tee off on anyone, biting the hand that tries to help you? I personally know of many, many folks who sacrificed in ways that frankly would have been difficult for me, all to help those in need. Their job is to work 40 hours a week in safe conditions. Not 80-100 hours a week until they're beyond exhaustion, having someone else take care of their kids during this crisis, and risking their own health - front line workers were the most frequent victims during the first wave, particularly in the hardest hit countries like Italy.

I'm pleased to call them heros. And a lot more people besides, who've put aside all the bitterness and animosity to work for the good of others.

They did their jobs, so what. Does not make them heros. Some worked some ot, so what. Did they get paid? I would think so, and paid handsomely im sure.
The only one that sounds angry here is you.
Im just sick of having all this bs pushed down my throat. If you've drank the koolaid and want to spend your life in basement thats fine. Just stip trying to make everyone else do it because of you're irrational fears.
Wisconsin numbers as of this morning
And im rounding as i dont remember the exact number
557,000 cases
529,000 completely recovered
Now, take out all the falsely reported cases, then take out the cases of multiple tests ( in the hospital, if you test positive they test everyday until negative) , then take out the false negatives ( yes false negative. My son and my sister in law both had that terrifying result) that they pist as positive, then if one wanted to you could take out the asymptomatic ( they are contagious, no they arent, wait yes they are....well maybe but probably not) .
Take out all that and the recovery is nearly 100%. Im not doing the math ,because well im lazy and i dont want to!

Now tell me where the fear should come from? Its been proven time and time again, no one dies of covid, some may die with it.
Oh, and Fauchi is an idiot hack who has no idea what hes doing. And our president is an even more useless hack for even entertaining the morons ideas.
Maybe 3 masks would be better? Maybe 4 with a plastic bag pulled tight over your head? Where will these fools stop? They've got the taste of power in their mouth and now they keep hunting for more.
1st law of Cheetos ....... your fingers will turn yellow

They would be orange. Stupid science.
And remember if you have a heart attack and die with a cheeto in your mouth its a cheeto death!

Quick story.
Wifes uncle was in the hospital with "covid pneumonia "lol.
Even he said it was bs. Said he had some wheezing and a cough but not much worse than that. Hes mid 60s over weight and not in the best shape, not horrible but, you know.
He wanted to go home, as he felt fine. No fever no nothing except for the wheezing and cough. Meanwhile , no visitors, he was there for a week and a half, think that was good for him? And the heros treated him le a leper, came in in full haz mat with hood and air. Wouldnt even talk to him. Yeah , im sure thats the best thing for a guy.

I don't understand why the press or politicians don't talk about the side affects of their covid policy. Things like people having to die alone because they won't allow visitors, people losing their jobs and businesses, kids not being allowed to go to school , suicide rate increases and depression, people not being allowed to visit family and friends, and the list goes on. I would be willing to bet more people have been adversely affected by the politicians, doctors, and scientist covid restrictions then covid itself. Just remember, when some one is telling you it's for your on good, you better watch your back.

Since I don't personally know you, Bill, I'm going to say that you are entitled to your own opinion and choose to slowly back away, facing you all the while. This is getting to be a bit much for me. Good luck with everything - I truly do wish you all the best.

Since I don't have a dog in this fight and I don't choose to run with (think support) either of the big dogs in this tussle (my beliefs are my own) ... I probably should take my pup and remain on the porch.
However, data accuracy and data sources should always be verified ... in the interest of good social science manifested as lucid and transparent discussions/debates. The only time-point-of-reference in post #3965 above is the last 5 yrs; I used that time period to examine the veracity of three statements central to the arguments being made. Since the CDC was mentioned repeatedly, I choose the CDC as my data source.
https://www.cdc.gov/flu/about/burden/past-seasons.html
Statements 1 & 2
"Does anyone else find it odd that the number of people that got Covid (28 million) is ironically close to the same number of flu cases the US gets on average every year (32.6 million)?"
"We average 32.6 million cases of the flu every year here in the US over the last 5 years"

Statements 1 & 2 are related. Using CDC data, the total number of cases of flu over the past 5 years is 172M or 34.4M average per year; therefore, the 32.6M cases mentioned in statement 2 is 1.8M lower than CDC estimates by 22.9% (34.4-32.6 = 1.8 divided by 32.6). I'll leave it to each individual to decide if that is "ironically close" from a statistical standpoint.

"I didn't suggest anywhere that this is a hoax although I am not convinced Covid is as deadly as it has been portrayed..."

Over the past 5 years, the flu has claimed the lives of 178K individuals or roughly 35,600 per year (likely would have been much higher without a flu vaccine).
Covid19, on the other hand, has laid waste to over 530,000 folks in essentially a single year (more deaths than WW1, WW2, and Vietnam combined). If even half the reported covid 19 deaths are bogus reports, the remaining 265,000 covid 19 deaths in a single year is 7+ times greater than the average annual flu death.
How one might look at this fact depends on whether one considers it in an absolute sense or relative to other diseases (e.g., flu virus or herpes/shingles virus).

Carry on gentlemen
I don't disagree with what you said, I also don't disagree with your numbers. We don't know the reasons, only the outcomes and have seen the hypocrisy amongst the very people imposing the lock-downs and restricted movement. To me it appears there is an attempt to crash our economy and ultimately freedoms. Money and power always seeks more money and power. Data is what we all work off and data is easily and often manipulated to achieve whatever one is trying to do. That is why I mentioned Man made Climate Change we are all going through since 2012 Paris Accord, and so much money is spent on it.
I would never suggest I know what is going on with Covid, I can just see where the data has been manipulated bud. If one number is fudged it is feasible that others are as well. The biggest drivers are Covid deaths and Covid infections, I can only suggest that many of the Covid cases were simply flu positives as it appears to be. There are so many things to consider that we don't have accurate information to such as proven false positives. Nikola Tesla tested both positive and negative multiple times in the same day but there isn't information available to us to see any accuracy. Congress banning any off label uses of existing medicines and therapies was a huge red flag. We were locked down, crashing our economy, losing jobs and businesses and obviously there wasn't a treatment for COVID-19 labeled that way but doctors couldn't try the same med's that were effective at fighting SARS-Cov-1 and have been used for 50 years, in some countries they are over the counter?
Doctors are well documented over prescribing drugs for monetary gain, that isn't to say they are all like that but Hospitals run the doctors and make their rules. It doesn't take much of a search to find doctors and nurses that were trying to convey the way we approached Covid from the start being wrong on many levels, but they were silenced? Why can't all medical professionals be openly heard? These weren't random hacks, they were knowledgeable and credible medical professionals until their statements regarding Covid.

I digress, the government gave incentive for Covid by giving it such a high payout per person infected or dead. People shot in the head, mangled in car wrecks, drowned, and many other ways were listed as Covid deaths as a result. It certainly isn't hard to see that if you steal just a few from each category of cancer, heart attack, stroke etc it would be tough to argue the death tolls from Covid. The education system does it all day long. My daughters Dr was quick to diagnose her with ADD (I disagreed with the diagnosis and the meds they wanted her to take to which I recieved a visit from CPS for possible neglect :emoji_dizzy_face:) simply because she doesn't pay attention in school, she does fine everywhere else in life, the school counts ADD and ADHD as a handicap and gets much more funding for handicap students from the government. My conclusion, my daughter doesn't have ADD and School is as boring to her as it was to me. As I said before, I am very open minded and not ignorant of facts when someone presents a good debate, I am NOT always right and I AM always learning. Thank you sir for the conversation, I always enjoy others input.

I see fear is in your nature.......

Fauchi: "wait, who am i talking to? Does he have a D after his name? Does he pay me? No and no. Then i disagree sir!

Paul: " show us the science "
Fauchi: " i am very smart, more much smarter than you"
Paul:" show the science"
Fauchi: " I'm the smartest man in the world"
Paul: show us the science
Fauchi: look a squirrel!

Dude is utterly useless, will sway which ever way the money will come to quicker.

TT ..... your search for truth via continuous learning is highly commendable. Good discussion, rooted in accurate information benefits all of us. Keep searching!

Good for you. Our sons grade school called us in when he was in first grade. “They”did the evaluations and felt we needed to take our son to the doc for ADD. Screw that, Christian school within a week and then home school from third through eighth grade. Then a private HS. He’s a junior in college and thriving now. Never took a pill.

I played the game for a little while after CPS (Child Protective Services) showed up at my house, they can be rather intimidating. It is quite eye opening to have the school report me for "neglect" because I didn't just go along and did what I felt was best for my kid. It's all about money for the school and control from the government (CPS). I suppose some people don't see that stuff and simply don't think it happens. NY recently made the law that every child that attends public school has to be vaccinated (not Covid just regular ones) or they couldn't attend, ignoring Constitutional rights like freedom of religion and the Liberals cheered :( Americans love their subjugation, PLEASE take away my rights, I don't use them all anyway!!

That's some scary stuff.

Oh I know about those people...

Classic story. My wife’s x called child services on me after I threatened him??? Said he feared for my son.

when they showed up I was working on a deck, drenched in sweat, wearing a sleeveless tee shirt. They told me to stay there and rang the bell. My wife had just had surgery for a deviated septum “nose surgery” and answered the door with two black eyes.

You can’t make that up.
needless to say we went through several interviews :emoji_rolling_eyes:

So you were already wearing a mask long before its was the cool thing to do????? I cut my sleeves off and use them to smoother my mouth and nose and save me from the deadly coronavirus pandemic. Who knew a Hanes T-shirt could fight bio terrorism.....
