Conspiracy theorys, where do you stand?

I'm more with you on this 1 than your prior. Mideast always resets. People could turn their tvs off and the drama queen effect would settle down. I'm not too concerned US won't restock its bullets. Buy Raytheon.
We literally have places in our own country that are more dangerous than Iran to you and I. Bomb those places for all I care. It’s insane to me that we allow parts of our country to be run as lawless third world hell holes and yet we have no problem knocking off some folks across the globe that will never really affect 99.9% of Americans. You and I could drive to parts of Memphis or Chicago, park our truck, and stand there. With 100% certainty our truck would be stolen and we be at best beat to hell before than rose. That’s where I want to see our drone and missiles used. Start here first.

Thats a firm stand, Dawgs! I always thought every cop should get one nuisance tag per year. No questions asked, tag ‘em and call DOT to come remove it. Mulch the remains on the roadkill deer pile.

I lack sympathy for people who cant adhere to basic societal norms. In order for this thing called civilization to work, people must abide by certain behaviors. If you can’t, adios.
Now unfortunately we don’t practice that and you see the results. Places where you wouldnt go, let alone your wife and kid. And those places are creeping and spreading further and further throughout our country. Sad and scary

This made a little bit of a fuss in the sports world for a second. The other day the Red Sox posted a throwback to opening day at Fenway in the 50’s. The stark contrast between society then and today was mind blowing. We are headed straight off the cliff.

I love blowing up radical Muslims as much as the next guy but damn we need that same mindset here first

As far as Iran, I think it is going to work itself out.

Iran has been a legitimate problem for over forty years, all of this should have been dealt with severely back when they took the hostages.
The country is full of religious zealots that know nothing but evil and hate.
I don’t think that they will play nice even when this is over.

It has been a good litmus test to show what countries are really our allies and what countries are just all talk.
Same with our own citizens.

I hope so. However, I don't see much effort anymore. Trump seemed to have sent a force that was specialized in amphibious assault and seizing land, but it's unclear if they are still a part of the plan.

I get the impression that Iran is a country that will not negotiate. The IRGC has too much influence. If it were up to the Iranian president's office, I think negotiations could be successful, but the IRGC are essentially gangsters. I don't think they are capable of the kind of thinking necessary for Iran to have a place in the world. They only understand force.

I think our best shot at achieving any form of positive outcome is for Israel and the US to pummel the IRGC mercilessly with missiles, drones, bombs, etc., at every single confirmed IRGC facility, relentlessly, day and night. Make it impossible for them to operate. And somehow cut off as much of their funding as possible, maybe by seizing oil tankers, or the entirety of Kharg island.

So far in this conflict, the IRGC has been emboldened. Ideologically, they now have no doubt that they are righteous and just in defending Iran from aggressors. Financially, they have more money than ever. Strategically, they have put up a hell of a fight and intimidated their neighbors, while setting a precedent for controlling the straight.

I think we are taking a break to gather more intel. When you bomb 10’s of thousands of targets, you need to find more targets. If we blow up their infrastructure we will look like the bad guys, blow up their military and make them as week as possible and give the people a chance to take over.

It seems like I'm correcting autocorrect more than it is correcting me. Anyone else having this issue? Is it an AI training thing?

The blockade is just against Iranian ports, that Chinese tanker was loaded in the UAE.

Yes. Noticing it on ios

Thought it was just me.

If the Beastie Boys can spell it you'd think AI could

I agree with the IRGC ideology statement but don’t think they have much of a leg to stand on anymore.
The only people that can make any type of a real leadership change will be the Iranian people themselves. To me it looks like they don’t have many options left and are just about toothless. They are not the power or threat they were a year ago, and if they don’t settle down they run the risk of not even being a country anymore.
Trump has left them an out, I think they will use it.

This whole fiasco has shown exactly who our true world partners really are, it has also shown China, SK and Russia that we are no longer the limp wristed country we were under Democrat leadership. IMO Trump has shown the world we are not to be messed with and will not put up with the stupid BS anymore.

H20 last weekends President’s Daily Brief Situation Report had some good stuff. Interviewed some retired general who talked about Iranian mindset and how we Americans tend to project western thinking onto Irainian thinking and we miscalculate because of that. He said something like “Iranians believe in negotiating from a position of strength. If you aren’t in a position of strength, why negotiate. If you ARE in a position of strength, why negotiate?” The guy also said something like “we opened up the promotional process to younger, more radical, fully indoctrinated IRGC members who never lived in the less radical pre-Islamist republic”. It has also been pointed out many times by Mike Baker that they stall, pretend to agree, stall and stall some more.

Our strength has always been alliances. Quiet deals in places I’ve never heard of. Walk softly and carry a big stick and all that. Our allies have had a reason to be with us and have been there. They definitely aren’t down with how we did this and the antics that followed. Countries are like people, if you do things right before a fight, some will go with you. If you get drunk and act like a fool in a bar they won’t be behind you no matter how “right” you are.

To your last point I don’t think many of allies are actually allies much anymore. I’m not saying they are enemies…yet, but the idea of a lot of these Western European countries being Christian, strong, freedom loving places are long gone and will never return again. They have been over run with a woke, socialist mindset that allowed them to get infiltrated/saturated with third world Muslims that seek to play the long game and overrun them. I believe we should seek alternative allies among the Nordic and Eastern European counties and let those others die on the vine.

They won't leave European alliances for the US, especially with Trump in office. In fact, the Europeans are working together more closely than they have in decades while simultaneously moving away from the US. All the Europeans see Trump as an obnoxious buffoon. Not only are the politicians uninterested in dealing with him, but their constituents are often rabidly anti-Trump because their entire worldview comes from TikTok and Instagram.

Remember when Trump was threatening Denmark with annexing Greenland? Well the other Nordic countries supported Denmark in that kerfuffle. The only way Trump could achieve any sort of alliance with the Nordics is to go back hat-in-hand and offer an apology, and that is jut not in his repertoire. There's no way any of the Nordics or Eastern Europeans would leave a European alliance in favor of an American alliance.

At this point, it looks like any new alliances will be built without the US until we get a new president. That's not carved in stone, as Trump has proven to be unpredictable.
