Wow. Midterms will be interesting. I guess I'll be voting against Turner.
I really hope massie wins and defeats the pro Trump puppet in ky. Need his voice.
I dont know what to do. The deep state is stacking the deck against the few seemingly decent politicians we have. Feel like we need a movement to primary near all the incumbents from both parties with someone that has a sliver of hope of not being a puppet. Deep state probably owns most of the challengers in primaries too.
Time to find a nice 90s pickup..
I'm pretty sure certain folks can already track and shut down any recently made auto? I'm curious if this is just to make sure that doesn't change or allow easier access to such controls.
You'd need an internet connection, so the car would need some kind of cellular signal. No idea if cars have this, but I truly hope not. Every time I've taken a car in to get checked, they plugged in a computer.
Can’t remember where I saw this but I remember hearing about some journalist who died in a mysterious single car wreck where his new Mercedes sped up to 120 mph before hitting a wall. The prevailing theory was someone was able to hack the car and override the controls. Who knows. Good news for me, you can’t even control my radio from the steering wheelI was of the impression the "on star" or sirius satellite signals could be used to do the same. Wouldn't expect that the technicians at the shop would have access to such things but someone does. Kind of like how the CIA could pull whatever they want off our phones without physically having them.
I drove a ford explorer for a work truck. I did not enjoy the day that I realized the steering wheel was not connected to a shaft that went down through the floor board. The prevailing theory was someone was able to hack the car and override the controls. Like how new toyota tundras dont have remote start on keyfobs, you have to download the app to do it from there (and sign off on them using even more of your data in the process). When I bought my last f150 they pitched all these cool things i'd get if I used the myFord app. LIke theyd give me discounts on oil changes and stuff. I asked them what Ford gets out of me using the App cuz if im financially incentivized to use it, they're getting something out of the deal that they aren't being up front about.
Minnesota winter pretty much helped me make that decision. Electric might work fine in warmer climates but there isn't much you can count on to run here in the winter time. And this talk has officially cured me of wanting a Tesla too.
