Conspiracy theorys, where do you stand?

On the flip side of the farmers deal I think it's something that we certainly don't want to lose all together. Imagine if we were at the mercy of buying all of our food from someone else. Farmers need to keep farming for sure. We need to be less dependant on other countries on all accounts in my opinion. There's been a lot of damage done to the structure of our country for decades. It's gonna take some time to right the ship and it's probably going to be painful every step of the way. Government has never had ANY fiscal responsibility. They need more money to piss away and our taxes go up. I say get able bodied people back in the workforce and off of the free shit for starters and go from there. jmho

Uh oh… How do farm subsidies fit in this?

Or bailing out car manufactures more than once. Or even the government buying 10% of chip makers.

Mr. Sasker, you are the eternal optimist if you think the ship will ever be "righted"

Our costs to service national debt roughly matches our massive military spending. That is pretty insane to me.

Same category. I don't believe a person could find a post by me advocating for subsidies of any kind. I know it's an unpopular position. I am, however, very much a supporter of charitable giving.

Charitable giving……

Catholic Charities in the US facilitated more illegal migration in the last 4 years than we’ll ever know. They made untold millions on the grift and did real and lasting damage to our nation imo.

T to T and WW Project and local stuff. That’s it for me.

T to T is all I do anymore. Fantastic charity

So did the ELCA Lutheran Church. I grew up a lutheran....and until recently did donate some sizable dollars to my church (which WAS an ELCA church). But IMO.....they are way off the rails these days and support LBGQABCXYZ and so many stupid things...and brought so many Somalis and many other illegals into the country and supported too many LBGQXYZ goals and queer marriage rites and much more. In short...with them....anything goes. That is not whom we are....and I cannot any longer support such an organization . I'm sorry I stayed on board as long as I did. Change is needed in so many "synod" positions.

We now attend more 'open bible" churches which are small by most any standard....and do not promote such programs. Everyone has a choice. We chose different than we might in time gone by. In these times....we all need to check our moral compass'.

Me and a Catholic friend recently wondered if Jesus would “approve” of our church today. It went both ways until the bourbon ran out :)

The great thing about charitable giving is that you get to choose where your resources go. If you don't approve of what a particular organization is doing, don't give to them. Try that with your tax dollars some time. I doubt you get the nice Hollywood outcome like in Stranger Than Fiction.

Don’t forget the Hebrew immigrant aid society partnered with homeland security to run illegals thru the Darian gap and up the Central America and then the governor of Texas shipped them all over the country during the Biden years.
