I'm against it. It's a slippery slope. Bad people will do bad things no matter what. Infringing on the rights of everyone doesn't solve that problem. However, we could do better at punishing individuals when they violate the rights of others.

Correct, enforce the laws we currently have accordingly and that fixes almost all of what's wrong now.

The officials just reported they have found the weapon in the woods and they have video footage of the shooters face. Does not sound like a professional hit to me. No doubt with Face ID they will catch him.

Yeah I agree. People are talking like a 200 yard shot is some great feat. 8/10 hunters and probably a greater percentage of western hunters can make that shot all day long on a stationary target like he was.

Yeah.....but not every crackpot idiot on the street is aware of such rifles and gear to make single shot's like this. Not sure of the details, but I would like to know more about the rifle, scope and shooting rest used for the shot. That could easily determine if this is a hired hit job.....or not.

Normally try not to jump to conclusions on this stuff because the waters are always murky but this seems relevant. I saw it was initially reported by the WSJ.
