Conspiracy theorys, where do you stand?

I voted nearly two weeks ago on my absentee ballot down in OZ. One of the things I like about getting a ballot ahead of Election Day.....is that you get to spend some time with it....and read in detail what and who you are voting for. They had about 8 referendums on the ballot......and it would be difficult to remember which was which under the pressure and time constraints of a voting booth. My wife and I were able to talk through some of the various choices and make a good choice on the issues and candidates.

The one time I voted in Ohio, I had researched everything ahead of the vote. I wrote a list of candidates and issues to vote for. You are allowed to take whatever you want into the booth.

It's not like middle school, where a cheat sheet gets you sent to the principal... Not yet, anyway.

My one wish for this administration, is for them to set national guidelines for voting. Every state has to do everything the same. No more free for all early voting, absentee voting (with some strict exceptions),drop boxes etc. all that needs to go away.
Oh, and jail the Bidens, the Clinton's and the Obama's

No no no no no. The federal government should not have a say in how states vote. We are a federal republic, for better or worse. We need to REDUCE the federal government's power. Never increase it. The constitution already guarantees our basic human rights. It is crucial that we keep our freedom and hold legislation as local as possible. This is why America is the most successful nation in the history of the world.

Bottom line is Trump is a phenomenal Presidential candidate and won states, that Republicans do not typically win !

He crushed the Blue Wall twice!! .. he won all the swing states !

It would be nice to see voters recognize this, rather than blame it on Harris , or make excuses!

I dont get it. They are voting for national candidates, why should some states be "prone to cheat" more than others?

As messed up as most states are when it comes to elections, Federal guidelines are needed. Otherwise it will remain the wild wild west that it is now with some states doing whatever they feel like doing like Wisconsin. It's not giving the government anymore power per se. It's limiting the states and a certain political parties ability to cheat

Exactly why we need to decrease federal power.

As far as I can see, it's the Democrats cheating. Why extend that across the nation?

No, that is literally giving the federal government more power. It is a huge mistake. The left has already proven that they are very Machiavellian in their methods. Why on earth would you think the federal government would somehow create voting regulations that help the common man?

The idea i thought we were discussing was that states be held accountable for voting controls for federal elections based on stricter standards that make it harder to cheat in federal elections - thus you'd be doing the opposite of extending the cheating across the nation.

I don't think the federal government can, I think Trump and Musk can. And no it wouldn't be giving them more power, it's more like getting all the states on the same page. Making it harder to cheat is always a good thing

And what makes you think democrats in federal government would act any different than Democrats in state governments? With a 60 vote threshold in the Senate, nothing gets passed by Republicans alone.

In a sane, normal world the ones against fair, safe elections would be run out of office
