Oh well. I’m waking up at 3:30 tomorrow to get in the stand. It’s raining for the first time since y2k. November starts in a day. I’ve voted. I don’t really give a shit anymore, did all I can do.
If Kamala wins and gives every person $25k to buy a house, I’ll retire early and move onto a spread and let the world collapse around me. I’m what you call an optimist.

I been in a blind all day struggling to stay warm with the dropping temps. Raining and spitting snow since last night. Windy and there aren't many deer moving because of it. Tomorrow will be about as good of conditions as one can ask for around here. 26° and a light SE wind.
My buddy is hunting our place in WI where it isn't raining but still windy. He's seen cruising, chasing, the whole works, just no shot opportunities.

Wow I can’t wrap my head around being cold. I ran this am at 5:45. I was in shorts and short sleeves and was sweating. 80 on Sunday again. I’m for the candidate who can manipulate the weather and Make Fall Great Again.
But yeah it should be on time right now. I can’t wait for the weekend.

I have already voted and am flying out tomorrow for Canada. I will be in northern Alberta for 8 days chasing big whitetails in the extreme deep northern forest bush country. For some odd reason i won't have a problem if my phone does not get a signal ... a news blackout would be welcome

One thing for certain. When it comes to the American economy......our Government could get a whole lot more accomplished if it would TRY to work WITH American Enterprise .....than to bastardize the owners and try to tax them out of business......and bad mouth our free enterprise system to the public. Much of the public sector does not understand where their bread is buttered much less the money to fund the many services they need to survive.
I watch folks like Biden tell them he is going to stop the theft by business of the middle and lower classes via taxes. Dumb bastard. When you see the way that business will help the common person with just a little incentive it will blow your mind. That is how we built the USA economy....by providing a little incentive to the free enterprise system and then Government gets out of the way.....letting competitive forces to their ways. Now?.....agency after agency and red tape and regulations prevents many business's from developing better goods and services....IMO. The way the democrats see it.....the free enterprise system is evil. It's NOT! Dont kill the goose that lays those golden eggs.
Many get this.....most democrats do not. Even the Chinese and (most asian) economy(s) works WITH industry to provide a profitable result (albeit in a different way). American industry just needs a level playing field.
Foggy, the Chinese government/ccp don’t really “work with” Chinese businesses, the government more or less owns them. It is hard to distinguish where business ends and the government begins. Not a good deal.

I am somewhat familiar with that situation. The government will "nationalize" tooling to make some parts (for example) and everyone in that industry can then have access to that tool. In that case....the government owns the production means....and the competitors make parts to compete with each other. Not sure that is a good thing....but they do "co-operate" with industry. In fact...they are the engine driving the business. (the way I see it)

If the government "nationalizes" the tooling or the process does it take away the incentive of the manufacturers to innovate and try to make things better, cheaper, more reliable.....etc.? And if they do, do they have to turn the intellectual property over to the government?

It's complicated....and not sure any of us fully understand they way the Chinese prime the pump for their economy.......but basically, Industry comes up with an idea or product (often times a copy of an American design) .....and somebody there in China.....decides the government should make tooling or a process to make this idea happen. The government funds the big tooling or project expenses to make the primary "widget" or metal shape or "function" and allows many business operators to attain these parts. (not sure how....but likely through some bidding process?). Anyway....the part is now widely available and numerous suppliers can provide the item to their customers.....whom are normally American importers.....like WalMart or Cabelas, etc.
Meanwhile factories here in the USA cannot compete with the cost of tooling the product or the low labor rates of the asian source. We go out of biz (or invest in their economy) and they flourish. Stoopid.
