Christmas Gift Ideas for hunters

bigboreblr

5 year old buck +
I wanted to buy a flashlight to go with the shotgun I am giiving the youngest one here. A streamlight and a cheapie basic one so the good one stays with the shotgun.

I picked this one up at home depot for $20. HAs green and red lights too. Thought it would be good for a fellow hunter on your list. Got a nice streamlight that does the same thing more or less, but it cots a bunch more.

Any other ideas you guys saw out there?

These are a life saver cleaning deer in poor light.

Buff Merino neck gaiter is another piece of gear I can’t live without that’s a little obscure.

Love those lights. I keep a pair by the door too.

The kids like opening gifts as much as the gift itself. Is it wrong I've considered putting turnip, radish and clover seeds in little tins and gifting them? They like having plots. May as well make them appreciate it. They're all getting pumpkin and Indian corn seeds as well.

That seems like a great idea. If your kids were really good, you can throw in a pair of leather gloves as well so they can protect their hands while doing the grunt work.

The easter bunny dropped 4 pair of work gloves in their baskets this yr

Kids of all ages like a gift to open. This came in the mail for me today.

Took my own words of wisdom, and got some of this seed before it sells out again. It did last year. Anyway....mine came today. Thanks John!

Merry Chirstmas / Happy New Year.

YES! This is a shameless plug for Northwoods Whitetail Seed Co. John is a great guy. If he ever figures how to get a better shipping rate....his sales will skyrocket. Still, the extra few bucks are worth it on specialty seeds like these, IMO.

As my dad's sign on his office wall read: If you want good clean oats....you must pay a fair price. But if you can be satisfied with oats that have already passed through our horses......well, those come a little cheaper. grin.

Every second or third year everyone in my house gets a flashlight or two at Christmas.

I know it is a little late but cheap headband flashlights are nice to have in your hunting pack. Costco had some and I had a LED Lenser brand that I liked a lot. When the kids were younger we even wore them sledding at night which was kinda fun.

my son always seems to need a battery or two when we're in the field. So, I bought around $100 of batteries, d,c,aa,aaa, and two cards of batteries i got at tractor supply that had 50 small batteries (cr2302, etc) in each card for like $10 apiece. Put them in a clear waterproof container.
He laughed when he opened it, and the next day he told me that was really a cool gift, and was glad i got it for him.
