How nave these trees faired against FB?

None of those trees showed any signs of FB. We've had a very wet summer. My older pears all got loaded with fruit, broke limbs, had leafs turn black and fall off, then dropped their fruit. The new ones grew well and didn't loose a single leaf. Not sure if they don't get FB or they were just lucky this summer.

I hadn't put much research into Warren. I wanted to try Asian pears and ordered 5. They didn't have enough so we needed a substitute to fill the shipping box. Told him to send the most disease resistant he had and this is what I got.

Went to the dock for a short cast or 2, and the boat was listing to the side. Dug around and found a hole. Must have come in to hot, or got wind blown to much. So glad it's a 4 toon instead of 2!!!

Drill a hole, cleaned things up, pumped the water out, patched, and added a drain plug.

Added some bumpers to keep it from happening again (hopefully).

With the extensions and whatnot that I've cobbled together the end of the dock is almost 60 foot from bank. The boat is always ready to launch. And the beer is always ready.

Just got done frying about 30lbs of fillets for the church's anual Fish Fry and Ice cream social. Couldn't keep up! The wife kept coming out saying "we're out, better hurry up and send in another batch"

Lots of mowing, brushogging, trunk painting, and in general work today. Things are looking good!

Had a nice buck at 20yds last weekend. Took quite a few pics. Afterwards started to wonder if letting him walk was a wise choice, so I grabbed last years sheds and threw a quick tape on them. I figure he's 150-160's at best. Can't tell that he's any bigger this year or not. I'm hopeful he makes it another year and maybe adds some trash, or mass, or tine length.

Wow. That's a heck of a buck. Doubt I ever shoot one like that. Kudos for holding off and seeing if he can jump a bit more.

Yeah he's a toad. Is he a 5x6? Sheds are as well. Looks by that body he could be the enforcer on the farm.

Yes, basic 5x6. But this year both brows are split and the nubs on the bases from last year are a little bigger.

He'll have a tough road ahead of him. Have to avoid getting run over on the highway, poachers, neighboring hunters, and my kids and their friends.
