Lol, I'm not surprised! Probably spooked off a solid 200 typical. They also seem to be drawn like a magnet to ground blinds. I have yet to ever put one up in a pasture and not immediately had them feel like it should be their new favorite place to hang out. Though I thought maybe they would be like a confidence decoy... LOL. Until one spooks because you move in the blind and then they all run for a few seconds.
Lol, can you put a camera up to video your bear wasp ordeal? I'd love to see that footage.I suspect I have wasps in my wood chip pile. If that's the case, I may need to spread some bear bait on that pile to get them to eat them up.
Then I'll have to go rake up my wood chip pile again. But it would be funny to have the bears eat them.
I always learn something from you. That stuff is fascinating.Lol, can you put a camera up to video your bear wasp ordeal? I'd love to see that footage.
They're vining up the milo stalks. Sunflowers are not very thick in there. I probably didn't relay that well in the other post.
I don't think they eat them. But, they harass them relentlessly. Wasps and wood bees have been absent since the swallows moved in. Both were a problem before.
Funny. I found several piles of bear crap a couple years ago that were 95% yellow jackets. Bear must have dug up a nest of them. I can't imagine how they went down.I suspect I have wasps in my wood chip pile. If that's the case, I may need to spread some bear bait on that pile to get them to eat them up.

I've got to move cameras this weekend. If I have wasps in the woodchip pile, I'll move that bucket camera rig over there and set it up. I should probably set it to video for something like that.
