I'm starting to see deer pretty regularly in the plots. Since I don't really have much growing it gets hammered really quickly.Second pic shows some chomping!

Changed countries is more like it!You must have changed zones in the latest USDA map change?
I don't have a pedigree so maybe there is some longhorn in them. I think watusi have quite a bit of variation in both horn and hide.I was thinking that pure line Watusi dont have any corkscrew to their horns. Cool looking cattle though.
They'll be cows (my land and animals have to make money for me). We'll breed them and sell calves. Pets too though. I'll fence off a couple of acres below the house for them so that we can tinker. Plus I don't really like horns in the herd. Are the Watusi pets or food?

Geeze I hope not! Otherwise we'll have a couple of pastures full of deer mixed in with the cattle as they cycle in for Sept drop dates!Just a thought here ......... I wonder if bucks can detect when a cow is in heat?? Live, walking buck lures, Cat??? !!!
If so could you imagine roping that red watusi and staking her down in front of a stand? I bet it'd be a wild ride!
