It's unusual for me to see any brassica eaten this much. Turnips will just rot, and radishes will just be nibbled on. Looks like they prefer canola to both of them. Second pic was taken yesterday.
Wow, that's pretty interesting. Never tried Canola, although I know its popular as a cover crop.
The tops of radishes get destroyed "here" fairly early. Especially after a few frosts.. Not a ton of bulb usage yet, but still a decent amount of food in the field. We will see over the next month or so..
A local feed store had some Tecomate BOB seed. I don't usually buy BOB seed, but it didn't seem all that expensive for the amount of ground it covered.
Looks like a good experiment. I tried winfred brassicas this year. Didn’t do much. But I’m not blaming the new seed, non of my brassicas did much this year. Lack of timely rain.

It's good they found your greens. I'll bet they keep coming back. Our first 2 years of planting brassicas, not much deer interest. Once they "discovered" them - they're regular customers ever since. Radish tops are first to get hit here. Turnip bulbs last to go.
I was told by a guy that used to work for me that he would go south to visit some relatives and down there( I think Missouri) they had Canola fields and he said the deer would eat it until they got sick and then eat some more. Claimed the deer were addicted to it. Don't know if it's true or not, just what one person told me. I have never tried it.
I think Canola is a variety of Rape. Rape is pretty easy to come by. I like to do a mix of Dwarf essex rape with daikon radish and purple tops. Seems like the mix got used more than single stands at my central Missouri farm.
