First thing, Batteries, I've tried every battery and solar panel you can with them and some cameras last 3 weeks, some last 6 months. I don't get it.
Second thing, I feel they spoke deer. I've watch a fair number of deer run from the camera when the step in from of it. I've been told there is an issue with the shutter? I believe, don't quote me on that. It makes a noise. So to test it, I set one up in my yard and walked by it and it was fairly calm and ya it makes a little noise. My buddy who is just as much into hunting as me, we were talking and he was telling me about blackgate cameras, and how he is fazeing out tactacam and going with blackgate. His pictures look great so I though I'd ask on here.

I have 20+ of the stupid things....they suck for a litany of issues. Best ones were the original. I am watching this thread as BG were my next to try but a few things here scare me

performance & lemons- some are great and some barely work- miss everything, miss some, camera dies
inconsistency with battery life including their own LiPacks
proper sending- May get some of your pics for today today....or tomorrow or the day after

CS is there but dont expect a fix. Likely will get the "drive there, change your card and batteries..." bs line
I think deer avoid them ....but fear/feel all cell cams produce something deer note

I have 1 Tactacam. Been wanting a second cell cam but know I won't double my plan from $120/yr to $240/yr. How do plans for multiple cameras with these other plans work? Can it be done fairly cheaply?
I will switch to wise eye if I get pictures like that
