5 year old buck +
I was in the office this morning thinking about my apple trees. Current thinking has me planning to try T-bud grafting my siberian crabs next year in august (if I have the caliper thickness). I have two groupings of six. I was thinking about grafting 4 of each 6 with different varieties. Some questions came to mind:
*Would these trees behave more like a standard rootstock vs a semi-dwarf?
*Would they focus on growing larger and waiting more years to fruit?
*Could that be the key to beating the bears and the damage they cause?
