ATV Spreader?

We are looking to purchase a new spreader to attach to our ATV or possibly to the back of our Kubota side by side We currently have one of the 100lb capacity pull behind models and it has its issues. It seems like there are a lot of mixed reviews out there on spreaders that actually attach to the rack of a ATV.

Has anyone had any first hand experience with the Herd Spreaders?

Per the company, they cost $350 for the unit itself, which is more than we were looking to spend. However, it might be one of those situations where you get what you pay for......... Curious if anyone can provide any first hand experience?

We have a spreader that we purchased from Tractor Supply that we mount to the front of our ATV. It has a heavy plastic bin, which holds at least 100 lbs of fertilizer, with a galvanized spreader. We attach it to the front of the ATV where we can operate it easily and monitor it well. It has worked flawlessly for us for about 6 years so far. We are very pleased.
