Anyone been around scarlet oak?

Hello. The scarlet oaks I started from seedlings are at this point a miserable fail.

they have grown an average of 3 inch’s if they ain’t dead.

How patient should I be ?

I've never tried them. How old are yours?
In the ground or pots?

I planted them last year.

I got one in a pot, I planted it yesterday.

I wonder if they are dud genetics?

I will post a photo when it’s daylight.

I planted 25 or 50 of them in my large red oak planting I’ll need to check on them but they may well have been one of the verities that bit the dust. I’ll try and get out there and check on them.
