Antler trap builds

I don't want a shed bad enough to possibly hurt the deer in the process.

I prefer to burn out boot leather to get mine! good exercise, great learning experiences, and its just good to get outside!
 
The only way I'd try it is with fixed cross boards that they'd have to bump to get their heads into the trough. I've never liked the idea of entangling them.
 
I did not know that, I searched the hunting regulations and did not see it mentioned but I found the state statute:
YIKES!!!! Won't be doing this now. In theory this seems to be a good idea, but probably not worth constructing for the one buck I have on camera that is just inside the ears. I would feel terrible if one did get stuck too.
 
I found 2 nice sheds last yr near a deep ditch crossing that leads into my clover plot. I piled some logs in it so they have to jump across it. This year I plan to put feed on both sides of the ditch encouraging them to jump across more often. I will also place the feed along side logs so they bump their antlers.
