AA batteries

I put new Lithiums in my cameras this fall after deer hunting, and my cams still read 10, and there has been some extreme temps. Mind you, deer picture drop off a quite a bit in January, and not pick up again until the snow has melted some. I also know that the lithiums will drop off fast, once they start dropping to 8, they wont last long after that. I will see a couple weeks after they drop to 8, then they drop out at 4.

Energizer Lithiums are really hard to beat for me. I installed 8 into a Stealthcam NG42 and they lasted me, almost to the day, an entire year. Central Indiana weather included, that is saying something.

Since I check my cameras about every three months or so, I usually run cheap batteries on really simple cameras during the summer "Velvet Show." Primos has a couple of cameras that go on sale for $20-$30 a camera. The nice thing about those cameras is that they have very limited options, thus, are very low on power draw.

Insignia, HDX, even Rayovac's can be had for 13-16 cents a battery when on sale. The cheap cameras last and last all summer and into early fall before I replace with Energizer. Then again, I run WAY more cameras than I'd like to mention so I couldn't ever afford to use Lithium's in every one!
