Carry weapon and holster

Good comments above. People stress out about what gun to purchase and what round then they don’t spend the money to buy good ammo. Research a duty quality jacketed hollow point. It sucks to spend the money but test your pistol with the good ammo.

There are better looking pistols than glocks. Better triggers. Fit my hand better. Glocks are all I carry.

Speer gold dot, I’ll shoot one or two magazines if this every time I shoot for fun/ practice. Then the remainder of the range trip is whatever ball ammo is the cheapest. Before I leave the range I reload my carry magazines with the Speer.

I own a few handguns that are suitable for carry.....but do not carry them anymore. I have a Kahr in 9mm that is a nice size and it's been kept it in my Jeep here in OZ. Only thing I dislike is how hard it is to rack that slide....even after replacing the spring with a lighter one. I've got a Kydex holster for that one...and like the retention.

In MN I have a Ruger LCR 38 sp. with a laser dot that I can shoot fair to middling....largely due to the laser. Too me a double action revolver is more foolproof over a semi auto. Everything is so intuitive to me....that I much prefer a revolver....just pull the trigger five times. I have a Kydex IWB holster for it.

I also have a Ruger LCP in 380.....and while it's more compact and nice for carry.....I beleive the firepower is too limited. If needed, I suppose it is better than throwing rocks. Multiple holsters....but the Kydex is my fav.

On occasion I will carry a revolver on my land....and that is a larger frame SP101 in SS and 357. I REALLY like that revolver but would be too large for CC in my opinion. I have an OTWB leather pancake holster for it. I also keep a lower cost SS 357 revolver in my tractor for porky control.

Then there are house guns.....and target guns.....lol.

Mostly carry a Hellcat OSP. Other than one round of obviously defective ammo, it's been 100% reliable for a smidge over 1k rounds now. I massaged the trigger a little accurate.

Vp9 is my favorite pistol. I love it.
Nice! I've held a couple but never fired them. Which model do you have? My ranger buddy swears by them.

The original full size. It lives in my bedside safe with a tactical light and laser on it.

That said, y’all inspired me. I somehow missed they came out with the subcompact vp9, so I just ordered one with the Holosun optic. Ha. I’ll let yall know how it stacks up to my shield for ccw.

Big hk fan. Well made products.

My first pistol was a Glock 17 my dad bought me when I went to college. I still have it and keep it in a safe at work. It feels like a brick in my hand compared to the vp9.
