Best place to buy fruit trees?

Hey guys. I noticed, in looking for a place to buy fruit trees online, there are lots of places. Can anyone recommend a good place with good prices but reliable trees? thanks

Patrick - I can only vouch for those I've used. Adams County Nursery - in Pa. - ( known on the forum as ACN ) is a highly rated nursery for various fruit trees on a national scale. They are a research and testing nursery for new varieties before they get released to the public for sale. All the trees we've bought from them have been great.

St. Lawrence Nursery in N.Y. ( SLN ) has trees grafted on full-sized rootstock - Antonovka - which will grow a full-sized apple or crab tree. All the trees we've bought from SLN have also been great. All have survived and grown really well.

Cummins Nursery in N.Y. was started by the guy who headed the Cornell University apple breeding program for years. His sons now run it and all their trees have grown really well for us too. Cummins is low on trees with semi-standard rootstocks right now (MM-111 and B-118 roots) - it's getting pretty late to order for this spring.

I know ACN and SLN have some good DR varieties yet. You might want to look at ordering very soon - no matter which nursery in the U.S. you decide to use. I'd use any of those 3 again without hesitation. Other guys can recommend different nurseries they've used and had good luck with.

Here are most of the nurseries I have bought from and been pleased with trees;

Cummins

Wildlife Group has very good habitat fruit trees.

Northern Whitetail Crabs good crabs and apples.

I have also bought trees from Stark and Raintree although they are harder to get full sized trees from catering more to orchard and backyard growers.
Most of them are priced similar $22–$28 per bare root tree depending on variety.

Turkey Creek has great trees and is good to do business with!
