What's for dinner?

I haven't eaten supper yet and I should NOT have looked at this thread !!!! :( I guess I'll be running to the market to get some fresh burger to grill burgers. I have fresh green peppers and summer squash too - I think I'll grill some of those to have with the burgers.

Badger at post #43 and Tree Spud at post #50 are killing me !!! Stomach is now growling.

My son just texted me this tonight. He made homemade shrimp lo mein.

Went all out, huh Bill ?? ^^^^^ :D
After a day's work, HH looks pretty good. I've been happy to see a can of " Chunky " soup and a couple slices of butter bread after a full day at camp !! Grub is grub.

Had Venison sausage / egg sandwich for breakfast this morning. Smothered Venison steak in gravy over rice yesterday.

Easiest of all meals to prepare and cleanup after. Cook Potatoes for 5 minutes, add carrots and sausage for 3 minutes, then add corn, Brussels sprouts and mushrooms for 3 minutes finally add shrimp for 90 seconds.007.jpg 012.jpg 013.jpg 034.jpg 035.jpg

H2Ofowler - The venison wrapped in bacon was bad enough ............. but then the morels took it over the top !! Never had them stuffed w/ crabmeat, but that's a new one to try. Thanks for sharing the pix. I haven't eaten yet and you're killing me !! :)

That's how I cook sweet corn on the grill also!!! My parents thought I was crazy when I came home from college and was cooking it like that in the husk for them. I consider it the only way to cook corn on the cob now.

This isn't a dinner but thought I'd share it anyways. I like to harvest and use stuff found on my land. Sometimes that's an animal and sometimes that's a plant. With assistance from people here on the forum I identified a patch of shrubs growing on my place as smooth sumac. So once identified I began researching to find out what I could make out of it. I found that sumac lemonade is easy to make and quite refreshing. I just finished make my first batch and I'm impressed. It's pretty darn good. Anybody else ever had sumac lemonade?
