They don't really count. 6-12" bare root, I just stick them on the field and plot edges. I can do those faster than 5 grafted trees.

As far as our winters go it has been great. We have had a lot of snow but every storm has been followed by a warm up. Lots of rain too, which is strange, has kept the snow pack down. That being said we have a long way to go. 3' last weekend and another 2-3' this week. That could send thing in the wrong direction fast. I saw some deer a couple weeks ago and they still looked fat.

My Cummins order for 2017;
1 Franklin B118
2 Bramley B118
2 Gold Rush B118
2 Bonkers B118
1 Pristine G.222

I've been eye balling some trees on the Fedco website as well.....

I have a Sundance apple on B118 and rootstocks on order from Cummins.

From Raintree, I have 4 columnar apple varieties on mm106 and some rootstock. I previously bought these columnar varieties from Raintree but after a couple fruited this year, some appear to be mislabeled. Not happy to buy again but happy to get on a larger rootstock.

Chummer - Post #55 - Fat deer up there ........ that's good news. They're only gonna get better with the work you're doing / planting.

I have 100 B118's and 20 MM106 rootstocks ordered. a dozen or so different rootstocks in my stoolbed, 5 wild apple rootsuckers I dug up last summer and potted, and 60+ varieties of scion that I've bought or swapped for.
Yea I've got my addiction under control. :eek::eek::eek:

Hmm, I think your rivaling Ed's sickness level this year. I'm so overwhelmed with planting trees from the nursery to the field that I am only doing 40 bench grafts this year while doing somewhere around 20 field grafts.
